The day of challenges .... And neighbours with ducks o.o

So what should have been a day of (tiring) joy started out interestingly enough. I started cleaning the wardrobe, only to discover that there were a few issues that needed to be dealt with, including rust and imperfections on two of the new clothing rods. Then a whole bunch of unfilled holes above eye level in the bulkhead, but nevertheless, the workmanship was shoddy and should've been completed properly. After advising Charlie of the issues, he was so apologetic and said that he would have the wardrobe guys over asap to have the issues rectified. He was extremely apologetic - not his fault though. And after I had finished filling in some gaps (which was really quite impressive considering I have never done it before lol) I went to go around to the garage to get some milk and bread only to discover that my car battery had died. After a call to the NRMA and a visit from a lovely New York native, I had a brand new battery a few hours later.

So a few hours too many later (that included a visit from a psycho neighbour that was cuddling a duck like it was a newborn child - including having it nestled around his neck for goodness sakes!!!!!!!!) Jazz and I eventually got my old wardrobe unpacked completely and my new wardrobe filled (but not sorted) which ended up looking like a "rich person's wardrobe" according to Jazz lol

I was still going up until 11pm when I finally sat before I could fall down. But all in all. Very pleased with the efforts of today. Am already busting for tomorrow to see how much more we can squeeze in to Sunday before we head off to Disney on Ice :-)

The holes above the bulkhead with my bad job of trying to fill them up with the paintable silastic :-(

My old empty wardrobe, waiting to be transformed with it's new tennants lol

The bookshelf that once housed unread books shall now be known as our happy place that is home to some of "our" fabulous lego displays :-)

My slowly emptying room .... including my bed with waaaaaaaay too many throw pillows ....

My new "rock star" wardrobe .... still in some desperate need of sorting, but hey, one melt down at a time, as my loving niece put it :-)
